Examination writing and editing program up and running again
The contract item writer for the association, on hiatus at the end of the year, is again producing questions to go to the Examination Committee for editing and approval for pretest and then for putting into the examination banks.
More than 25 writers are now under contract, and another group is due to be trained in July. Writers are chosen from applicants from all across the country, and are selected on the basis of a mix of geographical regions, area of practice, level of practice, gender and race and ethnicity.
The new group to be trained will concentrate on areas that have been expanded by the recently completed new Job Analysis. These areas, diversity and social work ethics, will have more questions on the new examinations beginning in 1998.
