As part of its effort to help member boards and others stay informed on issues surrounding the regulation of social work, AASSWB is always available to help with research and information requests.

Because the national office gathers information from social work regulatory boards on a wide range of subjects, AASSWB can be a one-stop source for research on specific provisions in regulations, the latest state laws, and special programs being offered by boards across the country. Past requests have prompted research on issues such as practice definitions at various licensing levels, ethics provisions, supervision and experience requirements, and board programs for impaired professionals. National office staff can also help boards understand the ins and outs of testing, and how the AASSWB examination program is developed, administered, and scored.

AASSWB's research capabilities help keep boards informed of national trends in social work regulation, and in touch with each other. Putting those capabilities to work only takes a phone call.
